The Bible–Epic 10-Part Miniseries

This Sunday night an epic 10-part miniseries retelling stories from Scripture entitled, The Bible will air on the History Channel. Roma Downy and her husband, Mark Burnett are the producers. Life Way, Focus on the Family, Rick Warren and CBN are just a few who are endorsing it. Of course I haven’t seen it, but it promises to be breathtaking in scope and scale. The performances are said to be powerful and dramatic accounts of faith and courage -spectacular!

We don’t normally watch TV, but we’re going to watch this. I urge you to as well and make it part of your Easter preparation this year.

The Bible begins this Sunday at 8:00 PM and will run five consecutive Sundays through Easter.

Here is the link to the History Channel’s website for the series; http://www.bibleseries.tv/Official Resource Website: www.BibleSeriesResources.com

This historic television event will entertain and inspire the whole family!

Watch clip from first episode this coming Sunday night!

I will have to make sure to check into this and view it. Thank you, Sharon and blessings!

I want so badly to see The Bible as I have seen it advertised on TBN. Unfortunately, it won’t be possible as we do have cable or satellite. We do not watch much television either, so we just use the regular TV antenna.

I checked the link that you shared and it will be coming out on DVD/CD. One can pre-order now and it will be shipped when it is released. Maybe after we go back to work this summer, I can save enough to buy it. I know it will be such a blessing.

    Have a great weekend.

    • I’m sorry you will miss it! I wonder how much money it will be, um.

      Love and hugs,
      Sharon

      • Charlotte Askew says:

The series is less than $60.00, I have forgotten the exact amount. It can be pre-ordered on Amazon but I will have to wait until this summer. I think it is something I would want to add to my Bible collection. I stay so hungry to learn more about God.

I am currently sewing walker bags and wheelchair bags for the residents at the nursing home where I volunteer 2 – 3 days a week. This is my ministry to spend time and do things for these “forgotten children”. I love sharing God’s love with them and I always make sure they know that it is because of Him that what I am doing is possible.

        • I didn’t think to look on Amazon, I looked on The Bible series site. Good to know.

I love that you’re doing that for the nursing home residents!

  3. Can’t wait to watch this!!

P.S. LOVED, LOVED, LOVED the conference call for OBS!!

  4. I thoroughly enjoyed watching the first part of “The Bible” last night. I truly wish they made this available on a local channel so more people could watch this amazing miniseries. My pastor encouraged all of us to watch it during her sermon yesterday and he decided to base his sermons on some stories from the film over the next several weeks. I know this film will help me appreciate His word and the Bible so much more than I already do if that is possible. It is my prayer that more lost souls in this world come to know Christ during the showing of this series on the History Channel. Wouldn’t that be amazing? Today is such a crucial time to witness to others in this fallen world today and be a witness for Him by expressing God’s love and word to others who are not yet saved or accepted Him as their personal Lord and Savior. Special thanks to Roma Downey and her husband because without them this film would not have been possible. God Bless Everyone and pray you all have a blessed week! 🙂

    • Hi Charolette! I love your passion for seeing the lost come to Christ! AMEN! May the Lord bless YOU and give you a wonderful week!! Hugs, Sharon
